On March 31, 2010, the Florida Trail Association, the hiking club I belong to, hiked the dikes around and through Orlando Wetlands by Christmas (Orange County), Florida. After lunch everyone else left, but I retraced some of our steps by myself and with my camera and caught some interesting birds. Not all of these photos are super sharp because I was using my shorter, 70-200mm lens with a 2x teleconverter instead of my usual 100-400mm telephoto. The 70-200mm is a great lens for medium distances; for long distances I need the 100-400mm. So, to start things off, here is a tri-colored heron.
